
Enrollment & Lottery Policy
Any child who resides in Nevada can submit an application to attend a Nevada Charter School, in accordance with NV state law (NRS 388A.453(1)). DBAE encourages and welcomes all students and does not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression ((NRS 388A.453(6)).

New Student Applications​
DBAE is now accepting student applications for the 2024-2025 school year. APPLY HERE

Students must apply to be considered, and our lottery will be held February 6, 2024. Students who apply after February 6, 2024 will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis, as long as seats are available. We will be allotting 90 seats for Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 6th grade. If a student’s grade level is already full, they will be added to the waitlist.

Random Lottery​
If the number of applications submitted exceeds the number of seats available, students will be admitted through a random lottery on February 6, 2024. Families selected will be notified within 1 week of conducting the lottery, and the order of the wait list will also be determined by results of the lottery.

What happens after I am selected in the lottery?​
To formalize your enrollment, all families must submit the following documents either through email (enrollment@dobeartsacademy.org) or in-person:

Proof of parent/guardian’s state-issued identification (one of the following)

-Driver’s license or picture identification

-Passport, bearing his/her name

Proof of residence (one of the following)

-Receipt for the rent or lease of a residence

-Lease of a residence on which the applicant appears as the lessee, Record from a public utility for a service address

-Bank or credit card statement

-Employment check stub
-
-Document from a state or federal court.

Proof of the student’s identity (one of the following)

-Original or certified birth certificate

-Birth card for each child being registered

A copy of the student’s complete immunization record (one of the following)

-Parent(s) must upload records indicating that the child has been immunized and has received proper boosters for immunizations, or has started specific immunizations [NRS 392.435]. Alternatively, if you choose to exempt your student from immunizations due to religious or medical reasons, you must fill out a Religious Immunization Exemption Certificate, to be completed annually. (NRS 392.437 and NRS 392.439)
