Recommended Qualifications
DBAE is a founding school committed to a strong launch to our programming therefore the following qualifications are highly recommended for serious consideration of this role.

3+ years experience running operations for a charter school or similar organization.

Comfort and experience defining and executing back-end systems (budget, payroll, data management ect.).

Self-starter: Ability to work in a startup context, be flexible in responsibilities as the role evolves and as the school scales.

Solutions-oriented: Identifies opportunities to strengthen work, resilient in the face of challenges.

Detail-orientation: Strong background in creating organization systems for self and others.

Proactive, positive communication: Thoughtfully keep others in the loop, support strong culture amongst staff, students, families, vendors.

Main Outcomes

Establish and maintain efficient operational systems that support the school's educational goals and objectives in order to ensure a 4 or 5 star rating at the end of year 1.

Develop and manage the school's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.

Creating and establishing rituals, routines, and procedures that maintain and support a positive school culture that aligns with the school's vision and mission.

Foster strong relationships with all stakeholders, promoting a sense of community and mutual respect.

Ensure the school's compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
-
Implement and oversee a robust human resources strategy, including recruitment, retention, and professional development of staff.
-
Drive continuous improvement by regularly evaluating operational systems and processes, and implementing necessary changes or enhancements.

Duties & Responsibilities
Student systems and enrollment
-
Manage applications and follow up communications with new families.
-
Acquire students data systems
-
Attendance policies, systems.
-
Documenting information for state reporting.
Maintain strong financial and talent systems
-
Hiring and personnel systems – background checks, payment systems.
-
Insurance systems.
-

Manage school budget
-
Requisition and procurement policies:
-
Submitting proper reporting/compliance documents to back office provider
Manage day-to-day school operations
-
Food services RFP
-
Health and safety Plan
-
Facilities: Supporting the new facility acquisition, mapping out layout and classroom assignments.

Responsible for school safety plan: disaster preparation, fire drills, student, staff and public safety, and student health.

Acquire and manage inventory of school supplies and materials to support learning.
-
Coordinate with the principal to maintain a positive, safe learning environment for students by enforcing the school discipline plan.
Team Management + External partnerships

Directly manage and supervise office support personnel.

Manage community use of school sites.

Coordinate and support operations for school field trips. ​​
